I haven't used my Galaxy since March. I mainly use it when I'm at my computer desk. Otherwise when I sleep in the room, I use the ceiling fan. Less noise and a little more air movement, especially at this time of year. Not saying there's anything wrong with the Galaxy, but it's more of a point and shoot fan rather than for cooling off an entire room (or at least making it feel cooler).

Last night I had my Vornado 745 on speed 1. In the bedroom my Panama is on speed 2, in the office the Brookhurst is on low, usually gets increased when I'm working in there but since I'll be gone most of today it will probably stay there, and in the bathroom my Presidian 6 inch table fan was on low this morning. At work now, the break room has a Windmere oscillating fan, which needs some help, running on high. It gets very hot in there overnight for some reason. I'd like to find out who owns the Windmere and see if they wouldn't mind letting me service it a little, it's quite filthy and the oscillation is too stiff for it to run properly when engaged.

This beast is all I need for my entire house. I have a Sears whole house window fan, it too can cool the entire house. I had it on medium intake most of yesterday afternoon. Last night I used my Vornado 745 on speed 1.

Last night I used my Vornado 745 on speed 1. I have yet to find a window fan that has an 18" blade, that is more powerful than this Vornado. This thing even puts most 20" window fans to shame. Very powerful motor and a very deeply pitched 5 wing blade. What Sears do you have? I am guessing it's a Lasko/Air King kind?
