You can't put screws in the type of shelf I had, it was just plastic clips holding the shelf up. I think I just had too much weight on the top shelf, but I got a new unit none the less because the other one was ripped apart from the shelves falling.

Why did you smash the light kit on the hugger? From reading your post it looks like you did it on purpose. Those were some nice shades.

it was an accident.
read the post on top of the page 14. i explain why, I know they were nice shades. don't say something if you didn't have read all the posts. so, read the posts, on top of page, and the comment. say me what you think... and if i've broke them.

Dude there's no need to be ugly about it. I missed the post that said it was an accident... sorry. When you wrote "I scrapped the light shades" on the last one, that made me think you did it on purpose.

Great pics, David! The lighted housing hugger is really cool; you could probably get replacement shades.

hey everybody sightings for tuesday... i went to entraide, because i will be in my exam session. till june 22nd, june 23rd is the day to retake an exam, if someone wasn't there. and june 24th, it's the birthday of the quebec, the st-jean batipste (history class in 3 seconds.) so... i've got 5 fans!!!!! and we are only tuesday, imagine what it will be friday... omg, lol. so, i don't have pictures. but i've found somes things similar... so first, a AB banvil, 4 blades, 4 lights. got on it 3 tassels, 2 yellows... and, a green one! keeping the green one with my small collection of tassels, lol. the blades are repainted white, but the first color is probably wood. exactly like the pictures. i also got an old canarm, it's from 1989, like this one, in ab or pb, i don't have look very much.

Some nice things coming in!
Whatever you do, DO NOT scrap that last fan, if would be pointless to do so because you can hard wire the light kit if nothing else so that at least it has one more chance at life.
