Andrew you have some fans hat we have never seen. I did not know you we had USHA in North America. And it does not look like a Americanized version, it really looks Indian just as if you bought it in India. Like I said the fans in the Rona looks Indian especially because of the shape of the blades and the way the rivets are placed.

Strangely enough, I picked this up at one of my local thrift shops a couple years back. It was basically NIB as well, except for some scratches and crap on the motor.

So you can't use it! Its probably some Indian peoples immigrating to the USA and they decided to brought their fan with them but when they arrived here they realized that they could not use it because in North America we use 120V I have a good eye to recognize what is 120V and what is 220V. A lot of 1980s spinner import are actually Americanized versions. I'm pretty sure some of the real 220V fans sold in the country where its from would not look exactly like the ones we have here. They will likely have more J hook mounting instead of ball socket, less pull chain and more wall controls, likely more metal blades and less wood blades. Generally they look less homey and less decorative.

220v is one thing, but I cant imagine it runs well here being 50hz.

Running a 50Hz fan on 60Hz is probably a lot better than running, say, a 25Hz motor on 60Hz.
