This is the fan I found in trash. So my 2 questions are: 1. What brand is it? 2. Is it worth restoring?

I think it might be a Broan Europa, but the model right before the one with rounded blades... looks to be from 1994 from the serial #.

It's not an Alaska. Later Broan Europas were made by another company. My grandmother had one in her old apartment, and I had to take it down to wire the blue wire for a light kit. The top of the fan looked exactly like yours, and yours has a lot of the same characteristics as my grandmother's old fan did.

Was your grandmother’s one held by canopy and not just the mounting bracket? And was mounting bracket circular?

I can't entirely remember. Yes it was held by the canopy. Did it have 5 lights as well? No we put a Harbor Breeze 4-arm light kit on it. It doesn't matter about the light kit.

Ok I thought maybe mine had light kit which was included with the fan in first place. For one thing, the light kit takes place where switch cap would be, and not just being installed on switch cap. And sticker does say "w/ light".

"W/ Light" means the total power consumption if you add a light. There should be two power ratings, and the one without "W/ Light" listed next to it is the one without a light.

Tomaserin's video. This is an evidence that the light kit is original.

Yeah then you're probably right about it being a JC Penney... it IS made by the same OEM as the Broan Europa Series though.

Well it was Amanda who commented saying it's JCPenney, and that's why Tomaserin titled it JCPenney. I'm just saying that the light kit is original, even the shades are identical.

It could've been thatJC Penney was working with Broan/NuTone and when they switched OEM's from Alaska/Sheng Yuan, they made JC Penney switch as well.
