They don't "make" them, they're just rebranded generic stuff... just like GE doesn't "make" the fans they sell at Home Depot, they just sell rebranded generic stuff... these manufacturers license the rights to their name out to OEM's (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to label their stuff with... quality isn't what those brands are known for, but the brands who license their names out to those brands hope people will think it's actually made by them. They ARE probably better quality than the Mainstays or whatever other brands Walmart sells, however, and are value-priced.

They aren't the best by any means. However they look better than the stuff Walmart has sold in the last 10-15 years.

Honeywell having ceiling fans is nothing new at all. The first ones I saw were around 1998. They were different than those models obviously. Most of their models at that time had five blades, 132 cm with three or four lights. Most of them included a wall control or a remote control. Some were white, others polished brass and they probably had a brushed nickel model.

That 30" one looks a lot like a Westinghouse.. While I've seen far worse, none of them are particularly appealing to me.. I am curious about their quality though,, in my experience Honeywell portable fans have always been good,, even their newer models..

Low end stuff, but I think the ceiling fans bearing the Honeywell name have always been higher on the low end. Like definitely better than Heritage, Aloha Breeze, all those really bottom of the barrel labels, in both quality and design. And like Jean said, they always included some feature like a control system. I have to say I'm impressed with this kind of range in design for this demographic of the market, at the given price points. Just goes to show that every level in the market needs to up their game in design these days.

I'm not interested in any of these, I was just curious if anyone had any experience with them. There are way nicer fans out there I'd rather have.

My favorite days of Walmart ceiling fans were when they had fan displays with working fans, and especially when they sold Laskos. The Contemporary was my favorite model.
I have seen those Honeywells at Walmart and other brands, but no fan display since about 2008. I remember about 10 years or more ago they used to sell motors and blades separately so you could mix and match. I forget what brand they were.

I like the Lenox. It does look like a Westinghouse but with five blades.

Being able to actually test a fan you're going to buy is a great idea when it comes to airflow and the amount of light it can give. I realize why they don't and the cost factor but its something that needs to come back.

I have the model they call Wicker Park. Although it is rebranded, Its the same fan. Works really well. Mine is a 56" model though. There are ongoing balancing issues with it, but I take it for what its worth. I paid about $120 a few years ago. High speed is violent for a lack of better words. Medium and low speeds are more than effective. Lights are bright as hell. What I may do in the future, is make some sort of flush mount mounting device for it, as it is a downrod mount only.
