So I finally went back to that little abandoned building very close by and pulled out the last fan still hanging. I previously remembered seeing some Four Seasons Venair 4 curved bladed Industrial but they turn out to be some 3 bladed fans. Like I said in my sightings thread its a Banvil 36''. I guess its a Gold Line but someone like Dan or Cole who knows more about Banvil could confirm this. I inspected the rest of the building and I did not found any other fan nor any other fan lying on the floor. I think before they close down which was back in either 2006 or 2007 I remembered seeing more than one 36'' white Industrial by the window when I was passing in front of it and it was still in business.
The fan was in disgusting condition. The whole thing was blackened by the thick layer of dust and dirt on it. Like the blades are metal I just threw them in the basement sink and gave them a good bath. When I was taking it down I was wearing medical gloves because it was really dirty and inside the building it smelled really bad. I clean the whole thing with bleaching Clorex to be sure it germ free. ;D
Now it looks WHITE more like it should be. Its amazing what a cleaning can do. The fan is now in presentable condition. The blades were all bent in different ways to I bent them back. There a lot of rust on both canopies and on the downrod so I'm gonna repaint it with spray paint eventually.
The motor runs amazingly GREAT for a fan that have not run in two or three years and went through some cold winter. The bearings are SILENT. I was really impressed.
Its definetly worth being repaint.
I was thinking selling to Philippe A after I repaint it but I'm still not sure. Its runs so well and I kinda like it.
The helicopter sound of it its just INSANE and spins really FAST! Like I said the motor it self it very quiet.
With my rotative 3-speed control it gives a pretty slow low speed and a very fast medium. RPM's: 70/200/...300... For the high speed its hard to tell it just goes plain REALLY FAST. 70RPM on low for a 36'' 3 blade Industriel is pretty slow. The motor is Made in Taiwan and its very THICK.
Hey its my first Industrial!
