Pierce is not as bad as alot of people make him out to be. He's troubled, yes but he saved my arse 2 years ago and loaned me money when I was about to lose my home. He can't be all bad. I consider him a friend.

Whoops, I missed part of the post. I don't consider him a crook or anything, I just wish deals held up better. I do feel sorry for what's happened to him in the past, and I hope things can improve for him.

Sadly, I've had bad experiences with a number of collectors. I've never understood the concept of not honoring a deal. If I agree to sell/trade you something, then I no longer consider it mine, it's YOURS, and I want it out immediately.

This might be an old thread but I like to say I did a lot of business with Matthew Cody over 5-years ago and never had a problem. He introduce me to Homestead and Sierra, selling me a few of his fans when he got rid of his first collection which included many NIB units.

However, I recently dealt with a new kid selling portables on eBay and he is NOT pleasant to deal with at all. ZERO manners when talking with people he don't know. Wants money right away yet wants to ship whenever he wants which is usually 10 to 17-days AFTER he got the money.

He got the balls to tell me that if I don't like the way he does business then I shouldn't buy from him which is what I will do. I even told him this was the last time. He's very active in that poison-infected forum we are not allow to mention because the owner is a F-ing crybaby who wants to show off his daddy's latest car or home even though they are leases.

(sorry, Folks, I'm feeling very honest tonight so I need to vent ;))

The guy from eBay is C.S. from the BIG F-1 racing state.

I like to add that I have also dealt with Brian Hicks and Ryan Sipka., Both great fellas to do business with.

Yes I will agree Brian Hicks is one of the best people in the vintage fan market to do business with. I don't know of Ryan.

I've never had problems with Pierce, Yes I agree he's a little troubled.. I met him in person about 4 or 5 years ago and he gave me a ceiling fan, in person he is very nice.. I've had problems with collectors not mentioning any names. But we traded, and what i got in return were fake fans. Manufactured by a collector using different parts from other fans... Lets just say we no longer do trades....
