While I was on my vacation to Nashville, Indiana, I did some antique shopping, and I saw this on a shelf in an antique store called Cathy's Corner: [a href=" "] [/a] I decided to buy it. It ended up costing $25; not a bad price. ;D Anyway, here it is, a 1940's Dominion desk fan in green. ;D Very cool fan: [a href=" "] [/a] Here's the label. It's scratched a bit: [a href=" "] [/a] More pictures: [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a] Here it is on. It runs very nicely, but it needs a little oil, as it makes some noise when starting up: [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a] [a href=" "] [/a] And here is the label on the bottom of the base: [a href=" "] [/a] Enjoy! I'll get the video up soon.

I got the video loaded! Here it is. I took it with my phone so it has sound. You can hear in the video the rattling noise it makes when starting up. I need to oil it. I'll take another video when I do. Anyway, enjoy everyone! [a href=" "][/a]

Very nice. Most Dominions with that label on the front have it completely missing, so it's good you got part of it. I once saw a blue one with a PERFECT label, but didn't get it because I was not aware that the label made it that much more valuable.
It seems to me Dominion had some problems with rattly fans. I have a completely different model than yours, and it rattles like there's no tomorrow. They're interesting fans, but they are SOOOO noisy.

Thanks, Cole! That's neat that I do have part of the label. Anyway, here is a video of it with narration: [a href=" "][/a] Enjoy, everyone! ;D

This morning, my Dominion started making this horrible grinding noise when turned on. It would start out rattly and then grind horribly. I gave it a squirt of oil; the grinding ceased, and the rattling nearly dissappeared. It runs like new now, and I'll get the video posted soon! ;D

I remember seeing this fan in the movie Hearts In Atlantis(2001) set in 1960. I recognize the grill design, I was wondering what it was. We see it in the movie when Bobby wakes up at the beginning and its 11th birthday.
It remind me of the 1950s Westinghouse.
